What we collect, what we keep, and who can see it.

Who we are

Byers Consulting Group operates byerscg.com, sells books, and licenses coaching seats to organizations. Questions about this policy go to tb@byerscg.com. We respond personally.

What we collect

Account information. Your name and email address when you create an account or accept a seat.

Purchase information. Payments run through Stripe. We receive order details and billing status. We never see or store full card numbers.

Coaching content. Your coaching sessions and your notebook entries, stored so your coach can pick up where you left off.

Usage counts. How much of your monthly coaching allowance you have used, measured in tokens.

Contact form messages. Name, email, and message when you write to us through the site.

That is the whole list. No advertising trackers, no analytics profiles sold to anyone, no data brokers. The only cookies we set keep you signed in.

Your employer sees counts, never content

If your seat belongs to an organization, your org admin can see how many tokens your seat has used this month. That is all. No message text, no session titles, nothing derived from what you wrote. What you say to your coach stays between you and your coach. This boundary is built into the system, not a policy we enforce by hand.

How long we keep coaching conversations

Session conversations are held for 30 days so your coach remembers recent work, then permanently deleted. Organizations can set a shorter window, down to zero, for privacy sensitive teams. Notebook entries and commitments stay until you delete them or your account closes.

Who processes data on our behalf

We use a small set of services to run the product, each limited to its job:

Stripe processes payments. Supabase hosts the database and sign-in. Vercel hosts the site. Anthropicprovides the AI that powers coaching sessions, and your messages are processed there to generate the coach’s replies. Formspree delivers contact form messages. We do not sell personal information to anyone, and no service on this list is permitted to use your data for its own purposes.

Your choices

Write to tb@byerscg.com to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Account deletion removes your sessions, notebook, and profile promptly and permanently.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and material changes will be visible before they apply to you.
